Boundless

My work is focused on the figure as an infinite source for story. I mainly work with oil paint and acrylic paint. As an art student, I am constantly trying to find what type of art makes me want to make more art. I let myself be open to working with mix media and digital art.

A reoccurring theme in my artwork is nostalgia. It maybe from my act of using personal references in my childhood photo albums. I use it to express my life experiences as a way of processing my own thoughts and emotions.

My work is going to be part of the basis for future generations of Filipino Canadian artists. With little representation in the art field, I make work that shows the beauty of the Philippines and its people. I paint scenes of my upbringing with hopes that another Filipino Canadian can relate to my story.
