Abby Tibon

Abby Tibon is a first-generation Filipino Canadian based in Toronto, Ontario. She is graduating from the Drawing and Painting program at OCAD University. Tibon uses her art to bring representation for Filipino Canadians. She focuses on making art that captures people’s stories. She believes in intent observations to express emotions through the human figure. She challenges herself to learn new mediums such as clay and digital media. Tibon currently teaches children at the Canadian Contemporary School of Art. She plans of furthering her career as an educator in the Master of Teaching program at OISE at the University of Toronto.
